The Book Review-Buddhist Pilgrimage through the eyes of teenager

REVIEW Travelogues are helpful in much perspective; they are source of information of history and culture. Travelogue shows, how a book can become a companion for you, by bridging a gap between a person’s inner self and a city’s soul. Very few travelogues have the capacity to bring the true essence of the historical places. The book  “Buddhist Pilgrimage through the Eyes of Teenager” written by Sanhita Sonavane, does that quite successfully. I am fascinated by reading this book written by a sixteen year old girl.In this younger age she got inspire to write about the Buddhist tourist places where she travelled. Author was on Buddhist pilgrimage with her grandparents, where she visited Mughalsarai, Sarnath, Shravasti, Jetavana, Lumbini, Kushinara, Vaishali, Nalanda and Mahabhodhi Vihara. Forest are important components of our environment and economy.They check the air pollution, soil erosion, water cycle, prevent the landslides, provide habitat for wildlife, provide chief fuel(wood), raw materials and forest products. The total forest area in India was  reported as 21.34% in 2015.National Forest Policy states that atleast 33% of land area should be under forest however India falls short by 10%. There is a vegetation loss due to anthropogenic and natural factors and now with the two most devastating forest fires,Amazon and Autralia,scenario is worst.Amazon Rainforest often referred as 'the planet's lungs' provide 20% of earth's oxygen and also estimated to produce about half of it's own rainfall now, less vegetation will cause less rains, dryer plants and more fires.Australian bushfires have claimed the lives of at least 27 people and countless animals.
